# Write the chapters and article

The **Chapters and article** section is on the **Publish** tab. It's the text that goes with the video when you post it.

## Write them

Choose **Write chapters and article**. The AI editor reads the edited transcript and writes, in your voice:

- **Chapters**, each starting on a word, at least 10 seconds apart, and three or more on a video over a minute.
- A short **description**.
- An **article** in Markdown, with a title.

Do this after you've cut, so the chapters and article match the edit. It needs the AI editor to be set up (see [Review the suggested edit](https://clipcat.followusai.com/docs/ai-editor.md)).

**Rewrite chapters and article** writes them again. It replaces the chapters, description and article, including your changes.

## Chapters

Each chapter shows its time in the edit. Chapters stay on their first word, so they move when you cut before them.

- Click a time to jump there.
- Edit a title and click away to save it.
- The cross removes a chapter.
- To start a chapter yourself, select a word in the transcript and choose **Chapter**.

YouTube shows chapters only when there are at least three, and ClipCat reminds you when there are fewer.

Every export puts the chapters into the MP4 as chapter markers.

## Description

Edit the description, then choose **Copy description and chapters**. It copies the description with a YouTube-style chapter list under it, ready to paste.

## Article

Edit the **Article title** and the **Article (Markdown)**, then choose **Save article as Markdown…** to save it as an .md file.
